Welcome to my Extra Life fundraising page! I’m on a mission to help sick and injured kids in Edmonton. and I need your help.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their illness, injury or even their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries they may get from just being a kid.
To help raise funds and awareness for these sick and injured kids, I’m participating in this huge worldwide movement called Extra Life. Gamers of all kinds pledge to play everything from video games to board games and tabletop RPG’s for 24 hours.
A bit more about Extra Life
Extra Life is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program within the gaming community. Participants fund-raise year-round and pledge to game for 24 hours with one goal: to save and improve the lives of sick and injured kids. Funds raised stay local to help pediatric patients at 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $30 million for member hospitals.
Supporting me, means supporting Edmonton…
So you may be asking “You’re in Edmonton, helping an Edmonton charity.. I’m in *insert city not named Edmonton*, why shouldn’t I help someone supporting my own local hospital?”
You should and if you do, awesome! Any donation in support of Children’s Miracle Network is fantastic no matter where it is and a donation to one can be a butterfly effect that helps multiple hospitals. If you reach out to me through any of my various social media work, I’d be happy to help point you to a gamer helping a Hospital closer to you.
But, if you do know me or follow any of my social media or blogging work in any shape or form, know that a donation made on my profile means a lot to me and likely makes my day 200% better… isn’t that a good thing too?
Previous fundraising “campaigns”
Of course I’m not just asking for money for charity and performing on just the one day.. I’ll be doing other scaled down game days as well as have stretch goals and giveaways for those that donate! You can check them out here…
